Update and a New Release!

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Well gang, the midnight oil is burning, I’m grinding out another 2000 words today and my part of the LEFT BEHIND AND LOVING IT workshop will be up tonight. :)  Until then, please check out the other articles provided…Balancing Motherhood and Writing, a Left Behind and Loving it Workshop.

I have a new Release today! Big, Blooming and Wild! Texan Bound has released from Changeling Press! W00t!

It has all the delicious stuff a full bodied woman from Texas calls life… pecans, sex, cowboys, roping, tornadoes, and did I mention aliens? No? LOL.

So if you’re in the mood for a sizzling summer read, check it out. :)  It’s was a fun one to write!

AND, for 5% off all purchases, type in the word coffee in the discount code box. Hit recalculate cart and then purchase!

The aliens have come… to Texas!

Hot-blooded and horny Maria is stuck in a rut. Pain in the ass exes and crazy fathers aside, she’s caught herself in quite the predicament. Nothing that a little silk, a lot of sex, and a good spanking won’t fix. Hopefully her heart is up to the task, because her libido sure is!

When the feisty Texican offers sex to his competition, Cody sees red. Since his heat or pollen began, his hormones have been screaming for the full-bodied woman’s loving. Well, if the transplanted pecan tree has his way, she’ll be tied up, tasted, and in his bed for the rest of their lives.

Big, Blooming and Wild! Texan Bound is available HERE at Changeling Press!

In other news, my current Works in Progress (WIPs) include one story with a shapeshifting fox (Kitsune) and his delicious seduction of a woman who doesn’t believe in magic. The other story involves a threesome among big cat shapeshifters, two jaguars and a cougar. It promises to be deliciously hot…or my Crit Partners will skin me alive.

Have a great day, all!

Left Behind and Loving It

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Lynn Viehl, author of the Darkyn series, is hosting a Left Behind and Loving It workshop. She’s been generous enough to let the Phenomena Authors throw our own workshop entitled: Left Behind and Loving it…How to balance Motherhood and Writing…or…How to write 1000 words a day in the zen of
toddler meltdowns.

Stay tuned for a fun time! It launches on Monday, July 28th.

Some new changes…

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Hi *web guy waves at the crowd*. I’m helping Dawn a bit with the organization of her website. You’ll notice that the menu has been shifted and there’s a new page. Coming Soon is now available. Her WIPs (works in progress) list is now cleaned up with her current five or so projects [*edited to add from Dawn* Actually I have pretty close to a dozen off and on, so feel free to check it out] and the free reads section is going to get a bit of a redesign. That will be a slow process and we’ll do our very best to make sure nothing is broken, especially for those coming in from Romance Divas. ;)

If you have any issues or links that break, please send Dawn a message through the Contact Me page.

Thanks!

Sleepless nights

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

It’s a hot summer night here in good ol’ Texas. I remember being a kid and camping at the lake (we say “on the lake” but that would read a bit odd, eh? LOL). The water would get so still and the crickets would sing so loud…the heat would be almost unbearable, like a blanket smothering you. Then the breeze would blow and you’d drift to sleep until the next heat wave. Tonight’s like that. Heat still emanates from the pavement and the night is without a breeze and thick.

So I’m awake, despite the AC, and staring at the night sky. The crickets are madly singing and the neighborhood is quiet and I wonder if I’ll ever get to sleep.

Knowing my occasional bouts of insomnia, probably not. *sigh*

I’ll be writing away into the night and will likely not last far past tomorrow’s work day.

G’night all…hope your night is much cooler than mine.

Web Poll and Review

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

I am shocked to see that March was the release of my first Spaceport. I barely remember that time now as the books keep shelling out. This month is filled with deadline after deadline. Both books are in and off. Now I have a few more non-publisher deadlines to fill before the end of the month. Personal goals. :) I haven’t had those in a while.

Rookery Cove: Ocean’s Call received its first review!

Dawn Montgomery spins a lively tall tale that is infused with past troubles, lusty tumbles, and the call of the sea….Really though, when my biggest complaint is that I wish I could have spent more time with this story and its characters, Dawn Montgomery must be doing something right.

Read more of the funny review here.

I keep getting those reviews suggesting I write novels. And some very good friends trying to talk me into it. So here it is…my poll. What do you think? Should I write a novel?
